The Bible teaches us that “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27”
Through our Widow Assistance program we have sought out widows to assist who are desperately needy and have no one else to turn to. In this specific case, we were able to assist Carolyn, a widow with two children who not only lost her husband, but shortly thereafter lost all of her possessions to thieves. She had no option but to live in a house that was condemned and ready to collapse at any moment. Through this program we were able to build her a new home complete with locks on all the doors and windows.
We have also been able to help her start her own small business of trade through which she is able to support her family.
