In Malawi a typical family struggles every day just to survive and care for their own biological children, yet most are faced with the added responsibility of caring for the orphaned children of their deceased loved ones. Many times this results in innocent children being neglected and abused by the very ones who are supposed to care for and love them. Often these children are forced to find food for themselves or to engage in immoral behavior just to survive.

We’ve been touched by the plight of these children and God has burdened our hearts to do something that gives them a genuine opportunity to know that God has a purpose and a provision for them.

In January of 2009 we completed the first phase and opened our Orphan Care Center. We now have the ability to provide one hundred children with healthy meals in a safe, Godly environment. The children are fed vitamin fortified rice, nsima (their local staple), meat, and vegetables grown from our own gardens. We are also imparting the gospel weekly through consistent children’s ministry and the children are being taught “Life Skills” which will prepare them for their future.
